Internal FAQ template for Confluence

The same questions come back in chat every week, and the answers get lost in threads nobody can find again. This internal FAQ template gives each answer a home in Confluence, with an owner and a review date so it stays right.

Copied. Paste it into a new Confluence page.

How to use it in Confluence

  1. Click Copy the template, open a new Confluence page and paste: headings, lists and tables stay as they are.
  2. Replace the parts in [brackets] and delete what does not apply to you.
  3. To reuse it, save it as a space template: Space settings › Templates › Create template, then paste.

Where FAQ pages usually fail

  • Questions written like headings. People search with their own words: “How do I get VPN access?” beats “VPN”.
  • No owner. An FAQ nobody owns is out of date within months.
  • One giant page. When it grows past a screen or two per category, split it, or let people ask and accept answers in a dedicated Q&A space.
