Ask in one step
Open any page, choose Read & understood under the title, pick people and groups, and a deadline. Sub-pages can be included in the same request. Readers are told with a page comment that mentions them, so Confluence notifies them. New members of a group are included automatically.
Understood, not just opened
Add up to five multiple-choice questions to a page. Readers must answer all of them right before they can confirm; they can read the page again and retry. The right answers are never shown to readers, and the number of tries is kept.
A new version, a new confirmation
- Each confirmation records the name, the date, the page version and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the content.
- When the page changes after people have confirmed, a new round starts and they are asked again. Earlier confirmations stay on record.
- A typo? The person in charge can keep the confirmations for the new version, with a reason that goes into the audit trail.
- Someone reading an older copy of the page cannot confirm it.
Nobody forgotten
- Reminders two days before the deadline, then again once it is late, at the pace you choose.
- People who cannot open the page are flagged before they are late, so you can fix the permissions.
- Every reader gets a “My reading list” page across all spaces, with their own record to export.
The record your auditor asks for
- For each space: the pages, their status and progress, and a people view of who still has to read what.
- CSV exports for Excel, and a PDF record per page: the version, its fingerprint, every confirmation, the questions and the full audit trail.
- Optional signing password: each confirmation becomes an electronic signature with a second identification.

Permissions and data
The app runs on Atlassian Forge (Runs on Atlassian). You see a request only if you can see its page. Confirmations, the audit trail, settings, Atlassian account IDs and the names shown at confirmation are kept in Atlassian’s storage for your site; signing passwords only as a salted hash. Requests and reminders are posted as page comments. Nothing is sent to our servers or to anyone else.
- Where do I find it?
- Under the title of every page, in the space sidebar for the space view, and in the apps menu for “My reading list”. A macro can also be placed at the end of a page.
- Who can ask for confirmations?
- Anyone who can edit the page, or only space admins: each space chooses.
- Does it work in French?
- Yes. The app follows each person’s Confluence language, in English or French, in light and dark themes.
